January 6, 2009 Monthly Meeting
Town of Upham Monthly Meeting January 6, 2009 Chairman Rodger Lodholz called the January meeting to order at 7:20 p.m. Also present were, James Jansen, Roger Henke, Leah Antoniewicz, Tim Murphy and 24 visitors. The Clerk read the minutes of the December 2008 meeting. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Minutes approved. The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2008 as $1,010,797.25, total receipts as of December 31, 2008 of $1,872,155.56 and total disbursements as of December 31, 2008 of $2,139,062.75. Balance on hand as of December 31, 2008 was $743,890.06. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. During Visitor and Comment Time Sylvia Cross asked for the flag to be replaced because it is torn and that a light be put on the flag if it is going to be left up overnight. Vionne Adams complained about the condition of Eager Beaver Road. Ken Foreman asked if the Park Commission should go ahead with getting quotes on surveying the new part of the cemetery. Discussion to place regarding marking the south entry to the post office as a one-way as the road is not wide enough for two vehicles and cars are sliding off the edge and getting stuck. The Clerk presented the 2009 Ambulance agreement with the City of Antigo. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to approve the agreement. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Discussion took place concerning the purchase of a town truck from the Town of Lake Tomahawk for $52,000.00. The board decided to put the purchase on hold. Supervisor Henke made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Henke made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Chairman Lodholz seconded. Meeting adjourned.
