Monthly Meeting October 7, 2008
Chairman Rodger Lodholz called the October meeting to order at 7:00
p.m. Also present were, James Jansen, Roger Henke, Leah Antoniewicz,
Tim Murphy and 20 visitors.
The Clerk read the minutes of the September Monthly meeting.
Supervisor Jansen made a motion to accept the minutes as read.
Supervisor Henke seconded. Minutes approved.
The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2008 as
$1,010,797.25, total receipts as of September 30, 2008 of
$1,145,254.00 and total disbursements as of September 30, 2008 of
$1,911,389.78. Balance on hand as of September 30, 2008 was
$244,661.47. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s
report. Chairman Lodholz seconded. Motion carried.
On a matter carried forward from the September meeting regarding an
Incident Report filed June 26, 2006 by Rodger Lodholz with the
Langlade County Sheriff reporting that Richard Zacharias has stole
gravel from the town. Rodger Lodholz asked the town to remove the
incident from record and to send a notification to the Langlade County
Sheriff Department stating the incident has been resolved. Supervisor
Henke made a motion to do as Rodger Lodholz requested. Supervisor
Jansen seconded. Motion carried.
Connie Kramer presented an update on the construction of the town
garage. The engineer, Bill Kelly, had made some changes to the
blueprints for items not included in the quote. We will have to
contact Mr. Kelly to confirm that the changes are required.
Nancy Bruce recommended the following poll workers work the November
4, 2008 General Election: Nancy Bruce, Irene Buck, Ester Lodholz, Rose
Jansen (all day), Dixie Cherba, Pat Anderson, Chris Strasser, Sandy
Spielbauer, Sylvia Cross, and Diann Raith will work split shifts.
The November board meeting will be held Monday, November 10, 2008 at
7:00 p.m. due to the General Election being held on the November 4th,
the 1st Tuesday of the month.
Discussion took place concerning hiring Justin Bender as a town
employee. Justin will work with Bob Ullman putting up the fire signs
and doing other roadwork. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to hire
Justin Bender at an hourly rate of $8.50 per hour. Chairman Lodholz
seconded. Motion carried.
Chairman Lodholz made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Henke
seconded. Motion carried.
Supervisor Jansen made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor
Henke seconded. Meeting adjourned
