Town of Upham Monthly Meeting May 6, 2008 Chairman Rodger Lodholz called the May meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Also present were, Roger Henke, Leah Antoniewicz, Tim Murphy and seven visitors. The Clerk read the minutes of the April Monthly meeting. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Chairman Lodholz seconded. Minutes approved. The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2008 as $1,010,797.25, total receipts as of April 30, 2008 of $955,131.62 and total disbursements as of April 30, 2008 of $1,735,044.85. Balance on hand as of April 30, 2008 was $230,884.02. Chairman Lodholz made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. The Clerk noted that we had received a Petition for Grant of Variance #576, applicant Scott Steinfort, to build a residence & attached garage to within 15’ of the town road and 63’ from the lake setback (OHWM) and that the notice was received after our April meeting. The Clerk also noted that the Board of Adjustment hearing was May 5th, the day before this scheduled town meeting. It was also noted that the Board of granted the variance. Let the record show that the Town Board of the Town of Upham had no input into this matter due to the time factor. Chairman Rodger Lodholz noted that a rock wall on the property that has been there for sometime extends into the town road right-of-way. He is concerned that this may be a public safety concern. Rodger said he would talk to Scott Steinfort concerning this. The Clerk presented the proposed Compliance Assurance Plan that is required to comply with the DNR’s recycling grant application and the receiving of grant money. The board members present reviewed the proposed plan. After a brief discussion, Supervisor Henke made a motion to approve the Compliance Assurance Plan as drafted. Chairman Lodholz seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Henke gave a report on the Road Inspection held on April 24, 2008. They visited Greenway Lane and noted that the road needed a lift of gravel and grading. They also visited Turner Lane, Centennial Dr., Eager Beaver Rd, Black Oak Rd, Knights Road. Logs were noted sticking up out of the road on Knights Road. There is a protruding culvert on Golf Road that is in need of repair. Chairman Lodholz made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Henke made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Chairman Lodholz seconded. Meeting adjourned. Leah Antoniewicz
