The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2008 as $1,010,797.25, total receipts as of March 31, 2008 of $930,006.93 and total disbursements as of March 31, 2008 of $1,702,828.11. Balance on hand as of March 31, 2008 was $237,976.07. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. The Clerk reported that the town website is up and running. Chairman Lodholz explained that a chainsaw the Town owns has quit working, and is not repairable. He asked those in attendance if there were any objection. With no objections from the floor or the Town board approval was granted. Chaiman Lodholz opened discussion with regard to which project the Town should use the 2008 TRIP money. There had been money originally earmarked to complete a portion on Bogus Rd. Rodger suggested that an unpaved portion of Forest Road be done this year. Discussion took place about checking into borrowing money to finish blacktopping all the roads in the town. The cost of blacktop has gone up considerably over the past few years. The Town could save money in the long term if they borrowed money at a cheap interest rate. We will do some checking into borrowing money. The purchase of new Fire Number signs was discussed. Rent-A-Flash submitted a new quote for $9.85 per sign and $6.10 per post without the hardware. Lange Enterprises quoted $9.95 per sign and $6.20 per post with no price break for ordering the post without hardware. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to purchase the new fire number signs from Rent-A-Flash as quoted. Chairman Lodholz seconded. Motion carried. The new signs will be ordered when we get a current fire number listing from Langlade County. April 24, 2008 is the date for the road inspection. The Town Board will meet at the Upham Town Hall at 7:00 a.m. Chairman Lodholz made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor Henke seconded. Meeting adjourned. Leah Antoniewicz
