Town of Upham Monthly Meeting March 4, 2008 Chairman Rodger Lodholz called the March meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Also present were, James Jansen, Roger Henke, Leah Antoniewicz, Tim Murphy and 13 visitors. The Clerk read the minutes of the February Public Hearing and Monthly meeting. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Supervisor Henke seconded. Minutes approved. The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2008 as $1,010,797.25, total receipts as of February 29, 2008 of $911,472.53 and total disbursements as of February 29, 2008 of $1,676,197.42. Balance on hand as of February 29, 2008 was $246,072.36. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. The Clerk presented application from Pamela M. Jansen for a Class B Liquor License for Bass Lake Restaurant Bar and Grill effective April 1, 2008. The Clerk noted that proper notice was published in the Antigo Daily Journal. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to approve the liquor license as presented. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. The Clerk recommended to the Board that the following poll workers be appointed to work the April 1, 2008 Spring Election: Nancy Bruce, Chief Inspector, Irene Buck, Ester Lodholz, Diann Raith, Dixie Cherba, Pat Anderson, Chris Strasser and student, Jessica Leseberg. The Clerk further noted that Diann Raith, Dixie Cherba, Pat Anderson and Chris Strasser would be working split shifts so that there were five poll workers present at all times. Supervisor Henke made a motion to approve the poll workers as recommended. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. Because the Spring Election is the first Tuesday of the month, the April meeting will be held April 8, 2008 following the annual meeting, which will be, begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Upham Town Hall. Fire number signs and quotes was discussed. There are still a couple of questions that the board would like answers to before making a decision. This item will be placed on the April agenda. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor Henke seconded. Meeting adjourned.
