December 4, 2007 Monthly Meeting
Town of Upham Monthly Meeting December 4, 2007 Chairman Rodger Lodholz called the December meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Also present were, James Jansen, Roger Henke, Leah Antoniewicz, Tim Murphy and 4 visitors. The Clerk read the minutes of the November meeting. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Minutes approved. The Clerk read the minutes of the 2008 Budget Hearing. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Minutes approved. The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2007 as $1,125,849.41, total receipts as of November 30, 2007 of $1,226,680.38 and total disbursements as of November 30, 2007 of $2,204,310.93. Balance on hand as of November 30, 2007 was $148,218.86. The savings account balance is $35.95 and is included in the balance on hand. Beginning with the January 2008 Financial Report, the Treasurer will not report the savings account balance as a separate balance, rather it will always be included in the balance on hand. Chairman Lodholz made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Tim Murphy presented the information he received from Plum Creek on the 1.23 acres directly to the east of the town hall that is for sale and suggested that the town might be interested in purchasing the land. The asking price is $21,900.00. The board will place on a public hearing agenda for public consideration. The Clerk made a recommendation of poll workers for the next two years. Rodger Lodholz, Chairman made a motion to appoint the following 13 poll workers for the years 2008-2009: Nancy Bruce, Chief Inspector, Irene Buck, Dixie Cherba, Sylvia Cross, Carol Horneck, Rose Jansen, Ester Lodholz, Sandra Spielbauer, Jennifer Lueck, Jessica Leseberg, Chris Strasser, Diann Raith and Pat Anderson. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried Chairman Lodholz made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
