February 5, 2008 Monthly Meeting
Town of Upham Monthly Meeting February 5, 2008 Chairman Rodger Lodholz called the February meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Also present were, James Jansen, Roger Henke, Leah Antoniewicz, Tim Murphy and 11 visitors. The Clerk read the minutes of the January meeting. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Supervisor Henke seconded. Minutes approved. The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2008 as $1,010,797.25, total receipts as of January 31, 2008 of $756,973.84 and total disbursements as of January 31, 2008 of $837,736.95. Balance on hand as of January 31, 2008 was $930.034.14. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. Rodger Lodholz suggested that Dixie Cherba be paid $8.50 per hour to clean the town hall. Rodger made this suggestion for two reasons: 1) the town employees were recently given a raise to $8.50 per hour and 2) he feels that she should be paid more. It was pointed out that Dixie had bid the job to clean the town hall and it is possible that in order to increase the pay the job would have to be posted for new bidding. The Clerk is going to email the Wisconsin Towns Association and get direction from them. The item will be placed on the next agenda. The Clerk read Application for Minor Subdivision #1765 from owners Bruce Dobrinska and Paul Stroncek. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to approve the application. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Rodger Lodholz made a motion to appoint Nancy Bruce, Irene Buck, Sandra Spielbauer, Diann Raith and Sylvia Cross as poll workers for the February 19th Presidential Preference Primary. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Hanke made a motion to appoint Robert Ullman as a town employee to replace Frank Lodholz who passed away January 18, 2008. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Hanke made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Motion carried. Chairman Lodholz made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
