January 8, 2008 Monthly Meeting
Town of Upham Monthly Meeting January 8, 2008 Chairman Rodger Lodholz called the January meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Also present were, James Jansen, Roger Henke, Leah Antoniewicz, Tim Murphy and 6 visitors. The Clerk read the minutes of the December meeting. Supervisor Henke made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Supervisor Jansen seconded. Minutes approved. The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2007 as $1,125,849.41, total receipts as of December 31, 2007 of $2,113,921.39 and total disbursements as of December 31, 2007 of $2,228,973.55. Balance on hand as of December 31, 2007 was $1,010,797.25. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. LeRoy Spielbauer reported that the DNR hearing for the charges against the four individuals involved in the Summit Lake shoreline situation was postponed to February 5, 2008. Discussion took place regarding the possibility of purchasing the 1.23 acres adjacent to the existing town hall. A public hearing will be held February 4th prior to the monthly town board meeting. The Clerk noted that she would hold a poll worker training session January 31st at 6:00 p.m at the town hall. Discussion took place to begin working on ordering the fire number signs. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Henke seconded. Motion carried. Supervisor Jansen made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor Henke seconded. Meeting adjourned.
