Town of Upham
Monthly Meeting December 6, 2011
Chairman Anderson called the December meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. A full quorum was present.
Also present were Roger Henke, Pat Raith, Leah Antoniewicz, Tim Murphy
and 13 registered visitors.
The Clerk read the minutes of the November, 2011 meeting. Supervisor
Henke made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Supervisor Raith
seconded. Minutes approved.
The Treasurer reported the balance as of January 1, 2011 as
$593,380.10, total receipts as of November 30, 2011 of $1,538,133.32
total disbursements as of November 30, 2011 of $2,038,038.01. Balance
on hand as of November 30, 2011 was $93.475.41. Supervisor Henke made
a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Supervisor Raith seconded.
Motion carried.
The clerk read the letter from Michelle DeBrock-Owens, DNR, dated
October 31, 2011. Chairman Anderson stated that the timeline in the
letter is in violation of the new law notification. Much discussion
took place. The Board remains firm with its request for the DNR to
give the town the elevation settings for the culvert. The response to
this letter will be that the board agrees with the timeline, but are
not willing to set the culvert without written consent of elevations
from the DNR.
Chairman Anderson made a motion to approve the 2012 Ambulance
Contract with the Antigo Fire Department for $62,185.00. Supervisor
Raith seconded. Motion carried.
The board tabled the Emergency Response Plan until the January 2012
meeting.
The Clerk presented a cemetery deed to Tim and Mary Rusch for three
sites in the Summit Lake Lakeside Cemetery, specifically, Sites 2,3 &
4, 2nd Addition, Lot 4, Block 5 at $100.00 each. Chairman Anderson
made a motion to approve the sale of the above sites to Tim and Mary
Rusch. Supervisor Raith seconded. Motion carried.
Supervisor Henke made a motion to pay the bills. Supervisor Raith
seconded. Motion carried.
Chairman Anderson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Supervisor
Henke seconded. Meeting adjourned.
